On behalf of the Prayer Ambassador's office:
Here is an update from Aaron Moore - Stapleton, SI, NY Corps:
Aaron and Captains Carroll are back in Staten Island and thank everyone for the prayer support for them while they were traveling and ministering to Jackie and her family.
Jackie's grandson Al looks bad because he suffered extensive injuries
to his face and head. Praise God that the internal bleeding has stopped -
Al is on a respirator and is heavily sedated he still has not awakened but
he tried to open one eye yesterday. The doctors are hoping to take Al off
the respirator by Saturday or Sunday.
The rest of the family members are doing better but they still have injuries that they are dealing with. Jackie told Aaron that she is emotionally drained and physically drained and asked for continued prayer for herself and her family. The corps officer in S.C., Captain Karen (Loveless) Lyle has been taking care of Jackie and her family and their needs along with taking care of the Carrolls and Aaron while they were down there. In fact Captain Karen's sister also a Salvation Army officer, stayed overnight with Al at the hospital praying with his family.
The nurse at the hospital thought that Captains Carroll and Aaron were family members and when she was told that they are their pastors, she was amazed at how the Salvation Army cares for their people.
The accident was caused by a blown out tire and they were heading to Disney
in Florida. It would have been Al's first time at Disney.
Please continue to pray for Jackie and her family especially for Al - God
is working in this family through healing and showing how His people care
for each other - Glory to our Lord and Saviour!
